Raised in Philadelphia, Cole Brown matured in the city’s predominantly

white private schools and
neighborhoods

an experience that delivered an awareness of race and class from a young age.
Cole attended Georgetown University where he graduated with a
degree in Justice and Peace Studies.
During his college years, landmark events such as the death of Michael Brown and the election of
Donald Trump ignited in Cole a passion for storytelling.
While at
Georgetown, Cole was inspired to begin penning his fir
st book, Greyboy: Finding Blackness
in a White World. Today, Cole resides in Sydney, Australia.
