Biography

Gilbert Campbell III is Founder and CEO of Volt Energy Utility and Volt Energy, a national renewable energy firm that finances and develops utility-scale solar and energy storage projects for large corporate clients, municipalities, and other institutions.

Volt Energy Utility executed the first Environmental Justice Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Microsoft, to supply Microsoft with 250 megawatts (MW) of utility-scale solar energy.

The Obama Administration presented Gilbert with the White House Champions of Change Award for his leadership in advancing climate change equity.

Gilbert graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University and completed leadership training at Harvard University.
