Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins’ received an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for his second feature, the Academy Award winning Best Picture, MOONLIGHT. His third feature, an adaptation of James Baldwin’s IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK, received three Academy Award nominations and won Best Picture at the Independent Spirit Awards. Jenkins’ most recent work is the acclaimed television adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. He also directed an episode of DEAR WHITE PEOPLE. His upcoming work includes a follow up to Walt Disney Studio’s THE LION KING and a biopic of famed choreographer, Alvin Ailey.
